Samsung has announced the launch of two new 16:9 HD notebooks, the 13.4-inch Q320 and the 15.6-inch R522. Both models are due to be available in April. The two laptops offer decent battery life with a 6- and 12-cell long-life batteries available with the Q320 claiming 4.6 hours and the R522 offering 5 hours. Both laptops offer Intel Centrino 2 processors and come with Windows Vista Home Premium while those 16:9 displays are good for widescreen movies as well as Vista gadgets.

Samsung unveiled new R560 laptop, The new R560 laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo chips. The R560 sports a 15.4-inch display capable of 1680×1050 WSXGA+ resolution. Its Intel processor is rated at 2.8GHz, and works with 4GB of DDR3 memory. It has a built-in NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS card with 256MB, a 320GB hard drive, Blu-ray drive, 7-in-1 card reader, and 3 USB ports. The other specs includes integrated 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, while an Ethernet card allows network support. Also, include a 1.3-megapixel integrated webcam. Samsung’s Silver Nano technology has been used to coat the keyboards of all five new laptops, eliminating virtually all bacteria. Samsung R560 laptop will launch this September.

Samsung unveiled Q210 and Q310 the eclipse range laptops, The new eclipse range laptops are powered by Intel Core 2 Duo chips. The Q210, which replaces the Q45, uses a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip, while the Q310 ups the ante with a 2.4GHz processor. The Q210 has a display of 12.1-inch and Q310 has a display of 13.3-inch, with either capable of 1280×800 (WXGA) resolution. The two new laptops from the Eclipse series share the same 4GB of DDR2 RAM, NVIDIA’s GeForce 9200M GS graphics card with onboard 256MB and an integrated HDMI output. Other external connections comprising a 34mm PCI Express slot and 3 USB ports, and the Q310 has an integrated 7-in-1 memory card reader, while the Q210 makes do with a 3-in-1. (more…)
