Samsung introduces new L201 / SL201 digital camera. The Samsung SL201 is an ultra-slim, compact point-and-shoot digital camera featuring 10.2 megapixels of resolution, a 3x optical zoom lens and large 2.7-inch intelligent LCD which will automatically brighten or dim based on available lighting.
The new SL201 features Face Detection, it automatically detects up to nine faces and automatically adjusts focus and exposure to ensure better composition and image quality. It also features Self Portrait and Digital Image Stabilization technology, When in Self Portrait mode, the SL201 automatically detects the user’s face, adjusts focus and exposure, and will only allow a photo to be taken if the subject is centered in the frame. CASIO announced the release of the newest model in its EXILIM digital camera series - the stylish, slim EXILIM Zoom EX-Z150, which features a wide-angle (4X optical) zoom lens, a CCD-shift anti-shake function, a very large LCD monitor and an 8.1 effective megapixel resolution. EX-Z150 has a “YouTube Capture Mode” in which it captures video at 30fps in 640 x 480 resolution for lengths of up to 10 minutes. It also features a large 3.0 inch LCD monitor, a first for the EXILIM series, making it even easier to compose shots and adding to the fun of viewing the images taken. Kodak has announced new M-series digital camera. The Kodak EasyShare M1093 IS digital camera has a 10 MegaPixel sensor with 3x optical zoom lens. Kodak EasyShare M1093 has a 3″ wide angle viewing LCD. The EasyShare M1093 can shoot HD quality pictures and video with MPEG-4 compression. It has 32 MB internal memory and SD/SDHC card compatibility. The camera will be available in September for $199.95.

Hasselblad is introducing its new 50-MegaPixel H3DII-50 camera system, featuring the world’s largest sensor. The H3DII-50 is designed to meet the exacting demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in both image quality and performance. Featuring the new Kodak 50 MegaPixel sensor, measuring 36×48mm, twice the physical size of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors. The H3DII-50 camera system produces the most detailed, highest resolution files available, it can generates 300MB files at 1FPS.
