D-Link have announced that a free upgrade to the D-Link DNS-323 NAS ( network attached storage ) device will enable BitTorrent file uploads and downloads without needing a PC. Making it possible for consumers to access, store and share large amounts of media content through the Internet, without the need for a PC to be turned on or connected. Consumers can use the products to manage BitTorrent multimedia content over their high-speed Internet connections. The D-Link storage device connects directly to a home network and acts as a media hub for BitTorrent-enabled content. Through the BitTorrent Device Partners technology licensing and certification program, BitTorrent has licensed the D-Link DNS-323 and certified the D-Link Wireless N Gigabit Router (DIR-655). (more…)
