Sony has announced at the Leipzig Games Convention that it is launching PSP-3000, a revamped version of its PSP handheld console. The new model will feature better hardware features over the current PSP slim and Lite. Sony has unveiled its own keyboard offering for its PlayStation 3 controller allowing gamers to more easily type in information. The wireless keypad fits the standard PlayStation 3 controller and allows gamers to type far quicker than using the rather pathetic on-screen keyboard as they have been forced to do since the dawn of time. The keypad is equipped with bluetooth functionality, the Wireless Keypad can be paired to PS3 by simply connecting the keypad to the USB cable that comes bundled with the PS3 system. Microsoft will launch a new Xbox controller with an improved d-pad in the UK and Europe market later this year. The new limited-edition green wireless controller offers enhancements to d-Pad functionality, which will add to the experience of playing games where the d-Pad is the primary control mechanism. The new pad, which reports claim will launch on 24 October, will be optimised for Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer game rather than be an update for everyone. (more…)
