The iPad – Does it Deserve the Hype ?
Tuesday, June 8th, 2010
The day is nearly here – June 7th looks like the lucky date for all those UK iPad fans who have pre-ordered online. Their excitement must be nearly at brimming point as well, seen as they have been waiting a lot longer than they had first anticipated due to the iPad’s UK release date being put back a number of times now due to the unprecedented demand in the US.
One thing’s for sure however, there’s a lot to consider before going out and purchasing the iPad and not just because it can set you back the best part of £500. However if you’re still set on buying this new gadget that’s captured the world’s interest then you’ll probably be keen to save money where you can and right now you’ll find free MP3s with great Amazon vouchers available from moneysupermarket.com so it’s definitely worth checking the site regularly for voucher updates that could save you money on your purchase.
Announced to the world on January 27th to an average response, Apple then started preparing itself for what could be the most significant launch in its product history. The world was then ready for this monumental computer to be launched. The iPad is something that bridges the gap between Apple’s monumental iPhone and hugely successful MacBook, something that’s looking to edge its way on to the netbook throne, and something which could possibly signal the way things could go in the whole personal computer market. This of course will only happen if Apple delivers on all the promises it’s made. The company has been dropping in words such as “magical” and “revolutionary” to describe the new iPad, something that many people have just dismissed as nothing more than a large iPod touch.
Is this the case or is the iPad truly a new immense addition to the computing world? Only time will tell but the only thing we can be sure of is that an iPad buyer will be one of two people; it will either be someone who not only sees how good the iPad is now but what it could potentially be in the future and who can afford a luxury item like this or alternatively, the buyer will be a person who just doesn’t have that much work to get done and who would prefer if that work was done on a machine that would make their computing experience; easier, faster, and simpler. We’ll have to wait and see if there are enough of these people in the world to make Apple’s new product as much of a hit and they’re hoping.
