Sanyo has developed the ‘N-WR01S’ a contactless charger for the Wiimote which makes charging as easy as placing the Wiimote on a cradle. The Sanyo N-WR01S will go on sale in Japan by August 25 with the basic set costing $51 and additional cradles and battery packs costing around $22.
Coils of wire in the battery pack and charging cradle transfer electricity when bought in contact. The charger completely charges the Wiimote in under four hours and makes it good for six and a half hours of gameplay.

It consists of a rechargeable battery pack that replaces the batteries and battery compartment cover on an existing Wii remote control, and a charging cradle and AC adapter.
