Cowon has unveiled the new Cowon P5 luxury portable media player (PMP). The main features of the new Cowon P5 include 5 inch touchscreen with 800×480 pixel resolution, Widget and Haptic User interface, T-DMB TV tuner, FM radio, Bluetooth, video and music player (AVI, ASF, WMV, MPG, OGM, DivX, Xvid, MPEG4, WMV9, MP3, WMA, AC3), photo player, document viewer, USB host, USB 2.0, WiFi USB stick to connect to the internet and use the Windows CE browser. The measurements of the P5 are 138.8 x 88.5 x 20.0 mm and the weight is 380g. The user interface of the cowon P5 PMP looks quite nice. The new P5 runs on the RMI Alchemy AU1250 700Mhz CPU and comes in 40GB, 60GB and 80GB storage options. The Cowon P5 comes along with a luxury hairline metal body crammed.
The release date of the Cowon P5 is supposed to be the 29th of July in Korea in black, platinum and red. There is no information on pricing yet.
