Samsung M6 and MP2 - World’s Largest And Fastest Notebook Hard Drives

Samsung made available two new, world’s largest and fastest notebook hard drives, the Spinpoint M6 and MP2. The M6 has a suggested price of $299. The MP2 is priced at $199. Both drives are available now.
The new Spinpoint M6 is the world’s largest notebook hard dreive consists of three 167GB platers, for a total of 500GB, making it the highest capacity hard drive for laptops, according to Samsung. The M6 is a 5,400rpm drive with an 8MB cache, a 3.0 bps SATA, and an optional Free Fall Sensor.
The Spinpoint MP2 is the world’s fastest notebook hard drive operates at 7,200rpm. The drive offers 80- or 250GB of storage, a SATA II 3.0Gbps interface and Samsung’s SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies for quiet operation.
The Spinpoint M6 is ideal for notebook power users who require vast amounts of storage space for their data, video and music files. The MP2 has speed, features and capacity similar to a 3.5 hard drive and is perfect for users who require a smaller form factor with advanced data storage needs.
